How to Make a Gift

This page explains the procedures for making gifts to MATC. For information about the programs you can support with your gift, go to the Opportunities for Giving page. Gifts to the MATC Foundation are tax deductible.

Check, Credit Card, or Cash

Pledge or donate by calling the Foundation Office at 608-246-6441.

Securities and Other Property

Gifts of appreciated property such as stocks, bonds, and real estate can be advantageous for the donor as well as the Foundation. Your financial advisor can help you determine the appropriate assets, timing and vehicle for property gifts. To discuss a property gift, call the Foundation at 608-246-6441.

Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts of supplies and equipment enable the college to stretch its budget while introducing students to the materials they will encounter in the workplace. If you are interested in making such a gift, contact program faculty to insure that the gift will be appropriate for the curriculum.

Planned Giving

You may give a donation or create an endowed account by naming the MATC Foundation, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will. You can also create a trust which will provide you with an income while naming the Foundation as the ultimate beneficiary. For more information, contact the Foundation at 608-246-6441.

Tribute and Memorial Giving

The tradition of tribute scholarships at MATC dates back to 1947, when faculty and staff established a fund in memory of Alexander R. Graham, who led the school from 1925 to 1947. Recently, a memorial sholarship was established by the family of Luvern J. Mitby, widow of former MATC district director (president) Norman Mitby and a longtime MATC supporter. Scholarships and endowment funds are an excellent way to honor people and organizations that have been significant in your life.
