Faculty-Staff Giving Campaign

Your heart of gold leads to the pot of gold, fulling career dreams that enrich our community.

Faculty and staff support of MATC students through the MATC Foundation is a tradition that extends back to 1947, when a memorial fund was established in honor of former College Director (now called President) A. R. Graham. Your gift has a transforming effect on students and on the college’s fundraising efforts. Your gift provides access to learning through scholarships, emergency help in the form of loans/grants, career development, and program enhancement. Your contributions demonstrate concern for our students and the pride in the work we do here each day. Your gift also demonstrates to potential donors the heartfelt commitment MATC employees have to students and community.

The 2007-08 Hearts of Gold / Pots of Gold Faculty-Staff Giving Campaign opened on October 15, 2007. Please take a look at the list of funds to determine which program(s) you would like to assist. Then, use the Campaign Form to make your gift. Checks, credit cards and the painless payroll deduction are all options available to you. Remember, the Power is in Participation. Together, we will continue making access to learning possible for deserving students who have difficulty affording the cost of education.

How Can You Help Students?

The Forward Fund

This fund advances the college by funding scholarships, facility enhancements and other special projects.

The Foundation Endowment

The Foundation Endowment provides revenue every year to support scholarships and builds value through investment returns. A gift to the Endowment has value today and tomorrow.

Program Scholarships and Learning Enhancement

The Foundation provides scholarships to students across the full range of programs from Automotive Technology to Zach Peterson-GED Test Fund at Portage... and 150 others! There are also accounts that enhance programs through equipment purchases, as well as student and faculty career development. Please ask the Foundation staff for more information or make a note on your Campaign Form (PDF, 110 KB) when you sign up. Your dollars go to work right away. Call (608) 246-6441 to see if there is a scholarship in your area.

Why Give?

  1. It feels fantastic to make a difference in the lives of our students.
  2. Giving by payroll deduction is easy and adds up during the year.
  3. Your gifts, when combined with the gifts of your colleagues, amount to over $70,000 per year.
  4. You can support the fund of your choice, and 100% of your gift will be used for the purpose of that fund.
  5. All of the above.

You guessed it: E is correct!

If you do not currently support the campaign, consider starting at $5 per week. Whatever you are able to give is needed and deeply appreciated by your students.
