 "They talk about preparing for the real world (at the college)," said Lajai. "And I think I know what they're talking about."
Lajai applied for grants, scholarships and took advantage of work study funds.
Today's sputtering economy makes your investment in Lajai and the rest of MATC's students all the more urgent. The growth of our state and region relies on the success of these new workers in industries such as health, skilled trades and culinary arts. They join graduates from more than 140 associate degrees at MATC.
A 2006 survey, our most recent information, tells the story:
- 93 percent of graduates are employed
- 97 percent are working in Wisconsin; 81.5 percent in the MATC District
- 98 percent of employers are satisfied or very satisfied with MATC graduates' technical education
- UW-Madison accepts more transfer students from MATC than from any other institution
