Meet La'Jai, Marketing Graduate

I knew right away I wanted to enter the Marketing program. I've always liked being creative and thinking about new ideas and ways to promote products. My goal is to become a company brand or product manager.

Classes are set up to give us real experiences. In my speech class, for example, my teacher did things like unplug our equipment or interrupt us so we would learn to figure out what to do when things don't go as planned—like what really happens.

I like being in an atmosphere where everyone wants to be here and where everyone wants you to succeed. Being surrounded by people who want to achieve makes me excited about my own future.

They talk about preparing for the real world here, and I think I know what they mean. I tell friends this is much different than high school. No one is going to hold your hand, but no one is going to get on you, either... It really is up to you.
