Madison Friends of International Students

Madison Friends of International Students (MFIS) is a non-profit organization of volunteers from the Madison area who befriend and help international students and their families. Created in 1952 by the University League at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, MFIS has added many programs and services over the years to address the specific needs of international students. A variety of helpful services aim to make the time in Madison more enjoyable for visiting members of the international community.

MFIS Services for International Students Include:

• Temporary Home Stay upon arrival in Madison
• English Classes
• Furniture Loan
• Thanksgiving Hospitality
