Provides access to books, magazines, Reserve material, audio-visual material (for example, videos), and web resources Search by subject or keyword.

Most books regarding Native American history will be located in the 900’s circulating collection in the back of the library. Search by name of tribe (ex. Sioux) or for general works, use the subject search: Indians of North America. For biographical information, search by name ex. Sacagawea or Black Elk.

Ethnic Newswatch
Use this database to find articles from native publications including Native Americas, Navajo Times, Indian Country Today (Lakota Times), Cherokee Advocate, News from Indian Country, and others.

Academic Search Elite or Expanded Academic ASAP  or Academic Onefile
Use these academic databases to find articles from scholarly and historical journals. Full-text titles include History Today, History Review, American History, Journal of American Ethnic History, Journal of Social History, and others. Also MasterFILE Premier (EBSCO) may have some useful articles or book reviews.

Proquest All Collections
Full-text of national newspapers including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune; Selected Wisconsin newspapers including the Wisconsin State Journal, Captial Times, and The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; plus other national, ethnic press, local, and international newspapers and other publications. Proquest Historical Newspapers (below) must be searched separately.

ARTstor's “Native American Art and Culture” collection includes more than 10,000 high resolution images made from historic photographs documenting Native American subjects and a collection of high resolution images of ca. 2,000 Plains Indian ledger drawings.
