Books, audio-visual materials, and other resources

The MATC Library online catalog provides access to books, magazines, reserve material, audio-visual material (for example, videos), and web resources. Most books on Africa and African history will be found in the 900's circulating collection at the back of the library, particulary in the 960's.

Use these academic database to find articles from scholarly and history journals. Full-text titles include History Today, History Review, Journal of Modern History, Journal of American Ethnic History, Journal of Social History, and others.

Provides country-specific geopolitical intelligence on 192 countries in the world, including a brief history overview and other data.

JSTOR
Archive of scholarly journals. Titles include Journal of Economic History, Journal of Military History, Journal of Modern History, Journal of the History of Ideas, Journal of Negro History, and others. For history of Africa, select history, anthropology, and African-american collections.

Use this database of ethnic, minority, and native publications to find articles with a diverse perspective.
