Developed by a branch of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, this site provides a searchable database of information for researchers, health care professionals and the public.

National Eye Institute Photos, Images and Videos

Provides color images available for downloading of numerous eye disorders.

The National Eye Institute Eye Health Organizations List
http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/organizations.htm#eyecare
Lists eye care associations, general health organizations, resources for parents and teachers of children with visual impairments, disease specific organizations, and selected resources for people with low vision.

Electronic Databases

Available by clicking on the title of the database below. Access from home or work is available for these databases, please read the instructions for Off Campus Users.

CINAHL PlusText
Indexes a wide range of allied health articles, many of which are full-text.

Health Reference Center - Academic
A full-text database that covers professional and consumer health and medicine topics.

MEDLINEPlus
A service of the National Library of Medicine that provides links to information from professional and government heatlh organizations about drugs, diseases and conditions, and to PubMed/MEDLINE index.

PubMed
A service of the National Library of Medicine that provides access to over 12 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and to additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full-text articles and other related resources.

Provides a source of clinical contact lens information for those involved in contact lens practice.
