Liberal Arts Transfer Program
The Liberal Arts Transfer Program serves students who intend to transfer to a four-year University. Many students in the Liberal Arts Transfer Program will take their first semester or year at MATC to obtain general education courses prior to transferring to a four-year institution.
If students take courses at MATC in the Liberal Arts Transfer Program and decide to transfer prior to completing the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Engineering degree they can work with the admissions department at the institution in which they are transferring in order to determine the transferability of the courses that they have taken at MATC.
Students can also use the Transfer Information System (TIS) to check the transferability of MATC courses to four-year Universities in Wisconsin.
For more information about the transferability of courses or for assistance with selecting what courses you should take at MATC check out the online Liberal Arts Transfer Program orientation, advising and course registration site for online assistance and tools, or make an appointment with an advisor in the Student Development Center, call 608-246-6076.
Getting your start at MATC in the Liberal Arts Transfer Program saves students money and provides them with other benefits like small class sizes and high quality instruction by MATC faculty who have “real world experience.”
