Partnership Brings New Internships

You may have noticed Friends of the Zoo staff members at Truax this week. The organization's visit results from a partnership developed with Friends of the Zoo by Turina Bakken, Business Learning Center dean, and Bob Dinndorf, executive director of the Madison College Foundation.

The Zoo seeks to hire student interns for a variety of positions and is donating $10,000 this year to the Madison College Foundation to support up to 10 student interns this spring. Recruiters spoke with about 80 people yesterday and plan to make offers to three or four interns right away with other offers still to come.

Dinndorf hopes this partnership effort will serve as a model for other organizations and businesses in the future.
