Vehicle Information
Purchase - Vehicles should be purchased with a purchase order if $5,000 or more, as described in the purchasing matrix (DOC, 45KB). Titling should be handled by the purchaser, with the title submitted to Jeff Kuhn, Finance, for proper filing. Insurance should be requested through Joshua Cotillier, Environmental Health & Safety. If over $5,000, the item will be recorded as a fixed asset.
Donations to Madison College - If a vehicle is donated to Madison College, please contact the Foundation and complete gift-in-kind documents.
Transfer - Please follow guidelines and complete a transfer form located on the Fixed Assets webpage.
Sales or Disposal - Vehicles cannot be donated by Madison College per WTCS regulations. Even if a vehicle was donated to Madison College through the Foundation, it is considered College property and still cannot be donated.
If selling a vehicle, request the title from Finance and work with Tom Riffle, Facilities, to determine proper disposal or sale of vehicle. For change or termination of insurance coverage, contact Joshua Cotillier, Environmental Health & Safety. Please complete the disposal form located on the Fixed Assets webpage and forward to Accounting.
