    Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Grants

    The purpose of the AEFL Act is to

    • assist adults to become literate and to obtain the knowleddge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency
    • assist adults who are parents to obtain the educational skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children
    • assist adults in the completion of a secondary school education.

    General Purpose Revenue (GPR) Grants

    The purpose of the GPR grants is to help technical colleges expand the capacity of particular programs. Funds are provided for course sections, purchase of special equipment and other training.

    • Health Care
    • New and Expanding Occupations
    • Basis Skills
    • Adult Literacy
    • Workplace Adult Basic Education
    • Advanced Chauffeur Training
    • Displaced Homemakers
    • Minority Student Participation and Retention
    • Transition Services for Individuals with Disabilities
    • Faculty Development

    Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Grants

    The purpose of the Perkins IV grant program is to develop more fully the academic, career and technical skills of secondary students and postsecondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education.
