    WTCS Quality Review Process

    The WTCS has implemented a Quality Review Process (QRP) that supports the continuous improvement of instructional programs and student services. It is to be used to review all occupational education programs, adult basic education programs and apprenticeships at each institution. Programs must have at least one improvement plan in the QRPDS. All improvement plans will be reviewed by the appropriate educational consultant, who will provide feedback to the program using the QRP Database System (QRPDS). The improvement plan is then reviewed by the program on an annual basis to track results which are measured by a WTCS indicator or a college indicator.

    Uses of the process include:

        * Benchmarks for quality indicators identified

        * Best practices archive

        * Support for accreditation activities

        * Data for marketing and promotional materials

        * Perkins grant funding eligibility

        * QRPDS data as basis for Annual Unit Plan

    The QRP is to be aligned with the College's strategic planning process. At Madison Area Technical College, the alignment occurs during the LSQIP and Annual Unit Planning processes. It is recommended that programs address one of the opportunities they identified in their LSQIP portfolio and unit plan as their improvement plan.
