    About Institutional Research & Effectiveness

    Mission
    The mission of Institutional Research & Effectiveness is to improve college quality, efficiency and effectiveness by supporting data driven decision making and planning with data, research, analyses and design of assessment services and systems.

    Role
    The role of the Institutional Research & Effectiveness Department is to provide accountability through measurement and continuous improvement practices to college scorecards, AQIP, program improvement, assessment and college database driven decision making by:

    • providing accurate and timely information that supports college-wide decision making;
    • maintaining the continuous improvement of programs through effective management of the LSQIP process including program data, portfolio process and program monitoring;
    • providing collection and analysis of assessment of student learning outcomes data;
    • maintaining a current document of college processes and results according to the AQIP criteria by implementing a system for continuous updating of the AQIP portfolio;
    • building college-wide energy, commitment and follow through on implementing continuous quality improvement at the service unit, program and classroom level through strong assessment systems; and
    • developing college-wide understanding of continuous improvement, assessment and research efforts by disseminating results to faculty, staff, leaders, board members and external stakeholders.
