Full Time Faculty Professional Development Funding

    Printer-friendly version

Full Time faculty at Madison College may apply for Professional Development funds up to $1200 per faculty for activities related to the faculty’s assignment, responsibilities or professional development goals.

This Professional Development funding plan requires that professional development needs will be planned for approximately one academic year before they actually take place. The committee recognizes that faculty professional development needs are varied and that, while many are able to be planned in advance, some may be unanticipated and therefore require swift action.  The process provides some of the fund resources to deal with such unanticipated needs. Our process follows the Madison College Unit planning/budgeting process timelines to ensure alignment with other planning around the college. This coordinated effort will require careful discussion and planning at the unit (Department/Program) level each year. It will require individual faculty members to consider their professional development plan annually and openly discuss their plan with colleagues.
