Board Issue Paper Process

    Printer-friendly version

The process for submission of issue papers that require board attention is outlined in the "Procedures for Creation/Final Approval/Inclusion on Board Agenda" (PDF) document. This document explains who is responsible for the creation of board issue papers, and whether issue papers need to be reveiwed or approved by College Council prior to inclusion on a board meeting agenda.

Note: The "Procedures for Creation/Final Approval/Inclusion on Board Agenda" document only pertains to the issue paper trail following appropriate discussion and approval of the item at the departmental level. The "originator" listed for each item is responsible for ensuring that issue papers are routed through appropriate channels at the departmental level and then communicated and/or presented to the College Council in a timely manner prior to the board meeting. As indicated in the document, some board-related items do not require College Council review or approval, such as board "consent agenda" items.

Final issue papers must be submitted to Ellen Hustad by noon on Tuesday, one week prior to the board meeting date. The board conducts their business meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
