Administrators on Duty
As the college works to increase access for students more classes and activities are being offered beyond traditional campus hours. To support campus activities during these expanded hours administrators are now being assigned rotating duties to provide coverage and assistance for campus or student issues that might arise. An administrator will now be on duty to cover these additional hours:
How to Reach Administration on Duty
- Check the Administrator on Duty schedule - to see who is on duty.
- If the Administrator is located at the Truax campus call (608) 576-7122
- For Administrators located at DTEC call (608) 576-7822
- For Administrators located at the West campus call (608) 576-7455
Administrators will be instructed on how to assist (via phone) other campuses throughout the district.
Administrators are on duty during the following hours during the spring:
Monday – Thursday: 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Administrators will also be on duty the first two Saturdays prior to the start of the Fall and Spring Terms.
Here are the general duties and responsibilities that will be expected of administrators on duty:
- Responsible for serving as the administrative point person to address concerns and issues of staff, students, and faculty.
- Provide assistance and guidance to all staff by answering questions and providing clarification of college policies and procedures.
- Serve as the immediate college spokesperson in the case of emergencies at the direction of the appropriate Vice President.
- Communicate with evening staff throughout the district, via phone or in person to notify them that you are on duty.
- Assist college personnel in all emergency situations.
- Responsible for making an appearance/attending any college sponsored event taking place in the building that evening.
- Complete duty log/journal at completion of shift.
