    The Financial Aid award is based on the number of eligible credits a student is enrolled in on the Date of Record:

    Financial Aid Status

    Required Eligible Credits
    Full-time 12 or more
    Three-quarters-time 9 - 11
    Half-time 6 - 8
    Less than Half-time 1 - 5

     

    Decrease in Enrollment

    Dropping a class after the Date of Record can affect a student’s financial aid in one or more of the following ways:

    • Financial Aid Suspension due to not meeting the completion percentage required to meet the Standards of Progress.
    • Repayment of all or a portion of the Pell Grant received by the student for the course(s) dropped. Adding a class to “replace” a dropped class, if done after the Date of Record, will not change the result of dropping a class for which the student received a Pell Grant.
    • Dropped classes count toward the Maximum Time Frame limits of the Standards of Progress.
