About Facilities Management (FM)
OUR MISSION is to utilize a customer service approach in the development of facilities, to provide for the delivery of the College instructional programs and support services. This support includes compliance to laws, codes, policies, best practices, and maintaining accountability to external stake holders.
Responsibilities
- Facilities Management is responsible for all aspects of district-owned facilities, including scheduling facility use, maintenance and custodial support for all district buildings, and construction and remodeling of all district locations. Facilities also has responsibility for providing facilities operations and management services consisting of: occupational and environmental health & safety, rental and leasing, maintenance, custodial, remodeling & construction.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the cleaning, maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds on the seven District campuses.
- Managing new construction and remodeling for the seven District campuses, including the capital budgets involved.
- Managing parking for the seven District campuses.
- Managing the ordering and installation of furniture for the seven District campuses.
- Managing occupational and environmental health and safety programs, provide appropriate training and provide associated consultation for the seven District campuses.
- Providing comprehensive facilities and space planning services.
- Managing internal and external room rentals for the three Madison campuses.
- Managing the leases for outside space rented by MATC.
