Waste Recyling Information

Medical/Infectious Waste

Medical and infectious waste not in sharps containers should be autoclaved.  Once autoclaved and labeled as “autoclaved”, it may be disposed of in the general trash.

For those items that are not autoclaved, they will be placed in red biohazard bins, for transport and treatment off-site.

Contact the EH&S Office to coordinate pickup (x6291).
