Madison College, in collaboration with the other 15 Wisconsin Technical Colleges, has an electronic job posting website - Wisconsin TechConnect.

This site will allow you to post your job openings, with a click of the mouse, to all 16 of the Wisconsin Technical Colleges. You will no longer have to contact the individual colleges to have your job posted.

What are the requirements for posting notices?

    • Each employer must register to use this site.
    • Your registration creates your own individual account, which automatically retains your job postings for future editing and reposting.
    • If your company is registered already, please do not register again.  Instead, click on your company name and review the contact information and instructions.  If requested, a follow-up email will also be sent to you.
    • After registering, you will immediately receive an email with your employer identification and password enabling you to utilize the system at your convenience.

    How does it work?

    • Access to the site is free, easy and available 24/7!
    • Once the job information has been entered, the system will automatically conduct a search for colleges that offer a program that most directly pertains to the category/subcategory you have selected.
    • From there, you will have the ability to select one of more of the colleges available to forward your postings.
    • Jobs may be posted from 7-90 days.

    Graduate employment report

Madison College’s annual Graduate Employment Report is available online to provide businesses with information regarding graduate employment trends, salaries, and business partners that have hired our students and alumni.

    On-campus recruitment

Employers may reserve a table in the Career and Employment Center (CEC) at the Madison College Truax campus to recruit students/graduates for their position openings.   Promotions of the available job openings will be done in advance through TechConnect and by CEC.   This type of recruiting is promoted as a casual “come as you are” atmosphere. Please feel free to bring signs, banners, or displays that you feel may better enhance your visibility (free candy or company give-away always work well).

For inquiries related to on campus recruitment, please contact Patty Geske at (608) 246-6401, Rachel Samuelsen at (608) 243-4129, or Rochelle Wanner at (608) 243-4273 in the Career and Employment, Truax Campus room 147 or via email at placement[at] matcmadison [dot] edu

    Job Fairs

Each semester a variety of industry specific job fairs are held at Madison College, as well as general job fair’s hosted by our partner, the Dane County Job Center. Students can learn about the employers who hire graduates in their fields, and employers can recruit candidates with the education and background they need to remain competitive.

Following is a list of job fairs and recruiting events that are currently scheduled at Madison College and in the community.  Please notice that some of the job fairs are industry specific, while others are open to employers from all industries.  This list will be updated as new events are scheduled. COMING SOON!

    Hire an intern

Madison College welcomes you to participate in their internship programs. Internships are coordinated within each respective program, and they integrate classroom academics with a related work experience that is mutually beneficial to the student and the employer. The start date and the length of the internship will depend on the employer's needs, the student's availability, and the program requirements. Generally, an internship coordinator from Madison College will be assigned to oversee the intern's learning experience.  If you would like to explore the possibility of working with an intern, please click on the link below to get the contact information for the program contact.
