New students must first create a student account. Returning students can use myMadisonCollege to sign up online for Continuing Education classes after activating their student accounts; students will need to login and add a course in the Student Center using the 5-digit nondegree class number. Returning students can also phone (608) 246-6210 to register. Please call (608) 258-2301 for more information.
Ten days prior to the start of each course, the Continuing Education office makes a determination on a class being active or being canceled. The minimum enrollment is ten students for a class to be active; if there are less than ten students, a class is canceled due to low enrollment. If a class is full, please join the "wait list" so that you will become enrolled when a seat becomes available. If there are enough students waiting, Continuing Education may create additional sections. Please make sure your contact information is current with the college.
For Continuing Education non-credit courses, students are issued (S)atisfactory, (U)nsatisfactory, or (W)ithdrawal as grades in Dane County Continuing Education classes. The letter grade units do not constitute any grade point value. Some courses to meet certification requirements have attendance and work performance criteria to receive a (S)atisfactory grade. “Nondegree” transcripts for these courses can be provided upon student request; phone the Transcript Office at (608) 246-6013. Nondegree courses can be identified in the catalog (course) number by a sixth digit of 4 or 6. Students must officially drop a course in advance of the first class meeting to avoid being billed for the course.
