Compass Placement Test
All students at MATC are required to take the COMPASS placement test in order to determine placement into a variety of courses including, but not limited to English, mathematics, and science. Please view the COMPASS placement test schedule and plan to set aside approximately 2 hours for the test. Make sure to take the COMPASS test prior to attending new student orientation. It is helpful to and sometimes necessary to complete the COMPASS test prior to registering for your classes.
Before you take your COMPASS placement test, view the COMPASS advising video to understand your scores and how they affect your course registration. To find out more information about the video, please contact the Assessment Center at (608) 246-5220.
If you have any questions about the COMPASS placement test visit the COMPASS Test Web site or contact the Assessment Center at (608) 246-5220.
