    Develop Skills to Succeed in College

    Madison College offers courses for students to develop behaviors, habits, skills and strategies that will help them succeed in their college classes. Enroll in one of these courses in your first semester to practice the habits and strategies in your academic classes. Or enroll in your second semester if you find you need to brush up on some skills.

     College Success:  20-890-200

    • Offered in three-credit, two-credit and one-credit formats.
    • Offered to program and Transfer U students.
    • Develop study skills in textbook reading, note taking, test taking, memory and information literacy.
    • Develop effective behaviors and habits in self-management, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, financial literacy and health and wellness.

    Study Skills:  20-890-201

    • Offered in a one-credit format.
    • Focuses on the essential study skills and habits in textbook reading, note taking, test taking, memory, time management.

    Learning to Learn Camp

    • Offered to recent high school graduates.
    • Offers the three-credit College Success curriculum in a one-week, intensive camp format and a one or two-day a week, eight-week follow up class.
