HGH + scapegoat = black eye for MLB

An outstanding season that saw the MATC women’s volleyball team win the WJCAA state tournament and amass a 24-10 record ended one match short of a berth in the national tournament.
MATC lost to Ridgewater Community College
in a three-game sweep in the championship of the NJCAA Region 13-A tournament on Nov. 3.
Ridgewater won the first game of the match, 30-23, then put away MATC, 30-16 and 30-19. MATC was led by outside hitter Roxanne Toby, who had seven kills. Valerie Johnson added 22 assists and Brittany Kalscheur had 14 digs.
The WolfPack reached the championship game by defeating MSCTC-Fergus Falls in a dramatic five-game match on Nov. 2.
After MATC won two of the first three games, 30-27, 26-30, and 30-24, Fergus Falls rallied back to force a fifth game. Despite being dominated 30-19 in the fourth game, MATC took control in the decisive game and won, 15-8.
Jackie Tucker had 12 kills and three service aces in the match to lead MATC. Johnson recorded
a whopping 40 assists, while Kalscheur had 20 digs.
