BREEZE(CONNECT) MENTOR APPLICATIONS

Full-time faculty will be chosen to be Breeze(Connect) Mentors.
This role would begin immediately and continue for the next two to three years.
Why become a Breeze(Connect) Mentor:
Breeze(Connect) mentors are able to network and develop close contacts with Breeze(Connect) Experts in the college, around the state, and across the country. The goal is to build your expertise in the best practices of video streaming for teaching and learning. You will be able to assist your colleagues in their use of Breeze(Connect). This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your recertification requirements.
Breeze(Connect) Mentor Information
Goal of MATC Breeze(Connect) Mentoring Program
- Grow the skill and expertise of Breeze(Connect) Mentors
- Act as a resource that supports the use of video streaming for MATC employees.
Requirements for Breeze(Connect) Mentors
- 5 year certified
- Full-time instructor
- Approval of Dean
- Three year commitment to be a mentor
Compensation/Credit
- Mentors work counts as their 10% service to the college
- The three year commitment earns 2 certification credits for mentoring, 2 certification credits for cross-training, and 2 certification credits for attending workshops, conferences, seminars .
List of Activities for Breeze(Connect) Mentors
- Share best practices of online teaching and the use of video streaming to facilitate learning with other mentors
- Provide ways to take the information out to the faculty
- Provide leadership in the development of component/activities for online training modules of Breeze(Connect) features and uses.
- Guide at your side.
- Attend conferences and training for professional growth.
- Keep an accurate log of mentoring activities
Criteria for choosing Breeze(Connect) Mentors (not shown in priority order):
- Representation from a variety of departments and regional campuses
- Previous Breeze(Connect) experience
- Previous innovative teaching experience having modeled best practices
- Faculty time available
- Agreement to attend Breeze(Connect) Training in Fall semester
- Agreement to commit to three meetings a semester (No need to be at Truax campus for these meetings.)
