In support of our College values of excellence, integrity and respect the Orientation Improvement work team and CETL/HR have worked collaboratively to refine and create successful structures and delivery methods for our orientation processes. Together these events will create a welcoming and supportive learning culture for new employees.
The sessions seek to assist new employees to:
- Understand their role in carrying out the mission of MATC.
- Adopt and adapt the Learning College Principles as guidelines for their work.
- Understanding vital institutional operations, policy and systems.
- Ensure that employee transition requirements are fully completed in a timely fashion.
- Establish open access to MATC support services.
- Create positive and lasting relationships with colleagues.
- Establish a welcoming atmosphere in their work experience at MATC.
- Provide opportunities for all employees to experience on-going orientations throughout the first year.
