Development Process
- Complete the Technology Services “Intake Form” to enter the queue for technical services from academic applications staff.
- Attend learning object training session (faciliatated by LO mentors, Multimedia instructional designer/developer and Library).
- Once approval notification is received by you from Technology Services, complete the “Project Proposal Questionnaire”.
- Meet with instructional designer/developer, Joan Millard (x4358) to start planning Pre-project Planning Template.
- Obtain appropriate signatures for Project charter once draft is completed. Project Charter Form. Sample of a Project Charter Draft.
- Requester develops the story board for the content and concepts of the learning objects from online Storyboard Template or a PowerPoint Template. Also look at Steps for Preparing Content.

- Tech Services Developer storyboards visual design for technical developers.

- Production begins after final edit and approval of the storyboard.
- Requester provides feedback and assessment at certain stages of development.
- Learning Object prototype is developed.
- Test/Review prototype Learning Objects by authors, students and outside consultants of prototype learning objects.
- Revision made from feedback.
- Posted to repository and other defined medium.
- Survey completed by author’s students and other teachers about usability and effectiveness.
