MATC - CETL Instructional Design

After installing WIDS 7.0, update the program following these directions:

WIDS 7 Software and Publisher Updates

Updates to the WIDS 7 software have reached a “critical mass” and all users should go to the www.wids.org website for the latest software update.

NOTE: You must have WIDS 7 already installed on your computer for this update procedure to work. WIDS and Publisher must be closed when updating pre-existing files.

Directions for Downloading Software Updates from the WIDS homepage:

Step 1:	Click the Download Center link under the heading Download Center
Step 2:	Click WIDS 7 Software Updates
Step 3:	Read through the text and click on this link: Update to WIDS version [the newest version of WIDS and Publisher will be indicated].
Step 4:	Click OPEN
Step 5:	Click Next
Step 6:	Click Next
Step 7:	Click Next
Step 8:	Click Finish
Step 9:	Click OK to restart your computer

Your WIDS 7 Program Files have been updated with the latest version of WIDS 7 and Publisher.

Directions for Downloading Core Abilities Updates from the WIDS homepage:

Step 1:	Click the Download Center link under the heading Download Center
Step 2:	Click Core Ability Library
Step 3:	Read the directions under the How to apply the update heading
Step 4:	Click here under the How to apply the update heading
Step 5:	Click Open
