    GSA logo      The General Services Administration will spend $5.55 Billion on over 250 construction projects in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and two U.S. territories. The projects will support the President's vision for a clean energy future, create jobs, and reinvest in our public buildings. This includes:

    • $4.5 billion to transform federal facilities into exemplary high-performance green buildings,
    • $750 million to renovate and construct new federal offices and courthouses, and
    • $300 million to construct and renovate border stations
    • $300 million for fuel-efficient vehicles

    The signed stimulus package will deliver $3.5 billion to the state of Wisconsin. 
    Some of the programs include:

    • Modernize infrastructure and create jobs with an extra $187.3 million for infrastructure in Wisconsin
    • $529.1 million for roads and bridges alone
    • $151 million for Wisconsin’s weatherization program
    • $62.7 million for the State Energy Program
    • $82 million to improve public transit
    • Provide funding sufficient to modernize at least 138 schools in Wisconsin
