How do I submit an assignment using the Assignment Submission Feature in Blackboard?
Be sure to carefully read and follow any directions from your instructor.
Assignment / Learning Unit icons indicate that an instructor is using the Assignment Submission Feature built into Blackboard.
Generally, when students click a View/Complete link, they will receive a new screen with directions for typing a paragraph and/or attaching a file.
An Instructor may have also attached a file for the students to work on prior to submission.
To attach your completed file(s), use the Browse button to locate the file(s) you want to add. If you have more than one file to submit, make sure you do so at the same time.
When you have completed an assignment, be sure to click "Submit" so that your instructor receives the assignment. When the student submits the assignment, the instructor can read, make comments on, and evaluate through the Gradebook.

Why am I getting a 404 error, blank screen, or other error message when trying to submit my assignment or add a file to a discussion post?
The most common reason is that your filename contains special characters such as ?, !, #, /, %,: * or \ .Don't use symbols or blank spaces in the filename. Keep the filename short - it should be less than 32 characters. Use only letters, numerals, and underscores in the document name.
If you rename the file, you should be able to upload the item to Blackboard.
I did an assignment in Blackboard, so why can't the instructor find it?
The Assignment feature has both "Save" and a "Submit" buttons. "Save" means that you plan to continue to work on the assignment. Your instructor cannot see your assignment until you click "Submit". When you have completed an assignment, be sure to click "Submit" so that your instructor receives the assignment.
