Nail Technician Program

The Nail Technician program is a 20 week/1 semester program consisting of two courses (Nail Tech 1 and Nail Tech 2) occurring back to back. This program prepares students with the required skills needed for the Wisconsin State Exam to become a licensed Nail Technician. Nail Tech 1 prepares the student with the theories of manicuring including pedicuring, acrylic, fiberglass, and gel artificial nail applications. Empowered with the skills learned from Nail Tech 1, the Nail Tech 2 student then has the opportunity to experience a true salon atmosphere in the Nail Technician Lab. Here students further perfect their skills on salon clients. The student also gains valuable experience in salon reception and basic salon management. Graduates from this program earn advanced credit standing in the Cosmetology program.
