Open Tryouts - Mandatory Meeting Date Set
Posted 6-23-09 - MATC Women's Volleyball has scheduled their Mandatory Meeting for Monday, August 10 at 5:00 PM in Room 237. This meeting is required for all students interested in trying out for the team, recruited athletes and for all athletes returning for their second season of competition.

Connor, Toby Selected as All-Americans
Posted 12-5-08 - Second year player Roxanne Toby, and first year player Kayla Connor, were recently named NJCAA All-Americans.
Connor, from Waterloo East (IA) High School, was name as a First Team All-American. In addition to leading her team in total kills (367), kill percentage (.386), and service aces (64), Kayla ranked eighth in the nation with three and a half kills per game.
Connor also set MATC records for kills in a season, kill percentage in a season, and kills in a match (24).
In her second year at MATC, Roxanne Toby was named an Honorable Mention All-American.
Leading her team in total games played (106), Toby was an integral part of her team’s success as she did many things very well. Roxanne ranked second on the team in service aces (60), assists (41), and digs (262), third on the team in total kills (155), and fourth in kill percentage (.214).
With her name firmly etched in the MATC record books, Toby ranks third in career aces (60), sixth in career kills (326), and seventh in career digs (386).
The two women are just the fourth and fifth players to receive All-American honors in the thirty-one year history of the volleyball program, all of which have come in the last three years under the guidance of Head Coach Toby Parker.

MATC Falls to Ridgewater in Regional Finals
Posted 11-1-08 - The WolfPack volleyball team met Ridgewater College once again in the Region XIII-A championship game, and fell to the Lady Warriors for the third consecutive year.
After splitting the first two sets of the match, MATC just couldn't seem to find their rhythm as they fell to a very talented Ridgewater team in four sets, eliminating the WolfPack from post-season play.
On Friday, October 31, MATC advanced to the championship game by defeating fourth ranked Rochester CTC convincingly in four sets.
MATC finished the season with a 32-8 overall record, one which saw the team enjoy a 14 match winning streak, reach as high as a number two ranking in the polls, and went undefeated against all WJCAA opponnents.
MATC Wins Three of Four at Tournament
Posted 10-23-08 - The WolfPack won three of four matches in what was their final regular season contest. MATC defeated Joliet, Wartburg CC, and Illinois Valley CC, but dropped a contest to Harper College to finish the tournament with a 3-1 record.
MATC next plays in the NJCAA Region XIII-A tournament held in Willmar, MN, on October 31 - November 1.
MATC Falls to UW-Whitewater JV
Posted 10-23-08 - The MATC Women's Volleyball team lost their final home match to a talented UW-Whitewater JV team. The WolfPack fell in three straight games by scores of 17-25, 16-25 and 17-25, as they lost just their sixth match of the year.
The WolfPack will beging Region XIII tournament play on Oct. 31 in Wilmar, MN.
MATC Wins WJCAA State Title
Posted 10-20-08 - The #2 nationally ranked MATC Women's Volleyball team staked their claim as the best team in the state by sweeping their opponents at the WJCAA State Tournament held on Sat., October 18, to take home the state championship.
MATC handily defeated UW-Manitowoc, UW-Marshfield, MATC-Milwaukee, and UW-Washington before meeting up with Western Tech in the championship match. The WolfPack went on to sweep their conference rival in the match, and didn't lose a single game throughout the tournament.
For their outstanding play over the weekend, Kristen Klein, Roxanne Toby, and Kayla Connor were all named to the All State Tournament team. With the wins MATC increases their unbeaten streak to 14 matches, during which time they've won 37 games, while only losing 3.
MATC Advances To State Tournament
Posted 10-17-08 - The women's volleyball team advanced to the WJCAA State Tournament by defeating three opponents and winning all but one of their games at the Regional held in La Crosse on Wed., October 15.
MATC handily defeated UW-Rock County, UW-Baraboo, and UW-Richland Center before splitting a pair of games with Western Tech.
The format for the WJCAA Regional playoffs is a two game match, therefore the games are not reflected on the overall record. Both MATC and Western Tech will advance to the WJCAA State Tournament held in Fond du Lac on Sat., October 18, beginning at 11:00 AM.
WJCAA Regional Hosted at La Crosse Central
Posted 10-13-08 - The WJCAA Region 4 Volleyball State Regional on Wednesday, October 15th will be held in the Hackett Gym of La Crosse Central High School (1800 Losey Blvd. South) They ask that everyone enter from the parking lot in the back. First matches start at 6:05 PM.
MATC Finds Cure To Slow Start, Beats #4
Posted 10-11-08 - The #2 nationally ranked MATC Women's Volleyball team played inspired volleyball in front of a sea of pink shirts to come back and win against the #4 nationally ranked Rochester Community & Technical College Yellowjackets at the Dig for the Cure match hosted at MATC.
The WolfPack cured what was ailing them over the first two games and fought back from a two games to none deficit with a 25-23 game three and a 25-20 game four. With the match tied, MATC pulled out a 15-12 win in game five to claim the match. The win avenged an early season loss to the Yellowjackets and gave the large volleyball crowd who came to support the WolfPack and a great cause something to cheer about.
Former Waterloo East H.S. standout, Kayla Conner, led the way for the WolfPack as she posted 17 kills while teammates Roxanne Toby had 18 digs and Kristen Klein dished out 47 assists. MATC improved to 26-5 overall.
MATC Sweeps Three at UW-Washington
Posted 10-10-08 - MATC traveled to West Bend on Wed., October 8, to take on a trio of in-state opponents and came back with three more wins on their record. The WolfPack swept the competition, defeating UW-Baraboo by scores of 25-11, and 25-15. MATC went on to defeat UW-Waukesha 25-11, 25-9; and UW-Washington 29-27, 25-21.
With the victories MATC increased their win streak to 11 matches, and has not lost a single game in the process. MATC will host #4 ranked Rochester CTC on Sat., October 10 in their Dig For The Cure fundraising event.
WolfPack Ranked Second in Latest Polls
Posted 10-8-08- The Women's Volleyball team climbed up a spot in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, and are now the second ranked team in the country. MATC is currently riding an eight match win streak, during which time they've won 21 consecutive games.
MATC will host the fourth ranked team in the country, Rochester CTC, on Sat., October 11.
MATC Crush UW-Richland, Parker Gets 100th
Posted 10-07-08 - MATC played host to UW-Richland on Monday, October 6, and rolled to victory in three straight games.
The WolfPack increased their winning streak to eight matches, helping coach Toby Parker gain his 100th victory as MATC Head Volleyball coach. Liz Wisdom led the way with 9 kills, while Kristen Klein recorded 22 assists.
MATC Sweeps Triangular at Western Tech
Posted 10-03-08 - MATC travelled to Western Technical College on Wednesday, October 1, defeating the host Cavaliers and Riverland CC (MN) in convincing fashion.
In the first match against conference foe Western Tech, the WolfPack took three straight and won by scores of 25-13, 25-17, and 25-16. The team then went on to sweep Riveland CC by scores of 25-23 and 25-9.
Second year standout Roxanne Toby recorded 20 digs over the course of the night, while teammate Kristen Klein tallied 53 assists between the two matches. With the wins MATC increased their winning streak to seven matches, including their last 18 games.
Third Ranked WolfPack Wins Big
Posted 10-01-08 - MATC played host to UW-Waukesha on Monday, September 29, and coasted to victory while winning their fifth straight match, including twelve of their last thirteen.
Liz Wisdom led the charge with 11 kills on the night, while Sam Ervin recorded eight digs, and Rachael Schmidt tallied 10 aces for the WolfPack.
During their recent win streak MATC has earned a #3 ranking in the latest NJCAA Division III polls, and has not lost a game in their last 13 tries.
WolfPack Rolls Past MATC-Milwuakee
Posted 9-29-08 - The women's volleyball team continued their winning ways on Saturday, September 27, as they defeated the host Stormers in three straight games.
First year players Elizabeth Wisdom and Rachael Schmidt combined for 23 kills on the afternoon, as MATC easily defeated Miwuakee by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-11.
MATC Moves Up to Third In National Poll
Posted 9-29-08 - The MATC WolfPack Women's Volleyball team was ranked third in the nation in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll released on September 24th. The team has a current record of 18-5.
MATC Crowned Champs at Kankakee Tourney
Posted 9-22-08- The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Kankakee, IL, over the weekend of Sept. 19-20, and came home as champions in a tournament that featured several Division II teams.
In the first match of the tournament MATC avenged an early season loss to the third ranked team in the country, Rock Valley College, by defeating them in dramatic fashion 14-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18, and 15-9. The WolfPack fell to Division II Kankakee CC in their second contest, but won the rest of their matches to take home first place.
Roxanne Toby, Kristen Klein, and Kayla Conner were named to the All-Tournament team as a result of their outstanding play over the course of the weekend. The WolfPack's next match will be held in Milwaukee on Sat., September 27, at 12:00 p.m.
WolfPack Downs Lakeland College JV
Posted 9-17-08 - MATC played host to the Division III Lakeland College JV team on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and showed their muscle by taking down the visiting Muskies 3-1. Kayla Conner had 15 kills on the night, while second year player Sam Ervin tallied 6 aces on the evening. The win is the fifth in the row for the sixth ranked WolfPack, improving their record to 13-4 overall.
WJCAA Region IV Volleyball Regional Set
Posted 9-15-08 - The 2008 WJCAA Region IV Volleyball regional will be held at La Crosse Central High School in the Hackett Gym on Wednesday, October 15. The matches will start at 6:05 PM.
MATC Records Fourth Straight Win at Tri
Posted 9-15-08 - The WolfPack continued thier winning ways over the weekend by defeating both opponents in a Triangular meet at home for the second time in three days.
In the first match of the afternoon MATC defeated conference opponent Western Technical College by scores of 30-28, 25-10, and 25-21. Former Cuba City standout Kristen Klein continued to distribute the ball effectively, as she has done all season, in recording 30 assists. Fellow first year teammate Kayla Conner was on the receiving end of many of those, as she recorded 12 kills in the match.
In the second match of the afternoon MATC easily defeated Riverland CC by scores of 25-16 and 25-13. Klein led the way with 19 assists, and Sam Ervin came up with 11 digs in the match. With the win MATC moves to 12-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
MATC Ranked Sixth in Nation in Lastest Poll
Posted 9-12-08 - The MATC WolfPack Women's Volleyball team was ranked sixth in the nation in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll released on September 10th. The team has a current record of 10-4.
MATC Blows By Competition at Triangular
Posted 9-11-08 - The Women's Volleyball team played host two teams in a Triangular meet on Wed., Sept. 10., and blew away the competition. In the first match MATC played conference opponent MATC-Milwuakee, easily winning by scores of 25-4, 25-12, and 25-17. Roxanne Toby recorded 5 aces in the match, and Elizabeth Wisdom was responsible for 10 kills.
In the second match of the evening, a service error as the only thing that stopped the WolfPack short of recording an unprecedented shutout in their second game of the match. MATC easily defeated UW-Rock County by scores of 25-6 and 25-1.
MATC Takes Third Place at Rochester CTC Tourney
Posted 9-8-08- The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Rochester, MN on Sat., Sept. 6, to take part in the annual Rochester CTC Tournament. While competing against some of the top teams in the country the WolfPack played well and went 3-1 overall.
The women easily defeated Gogebic CC 25-13, 25-14, and Minnesota West CTC 25-19, 26-24, before losing to the host and eventual Tournament Champion Rochester CTC in a close match by scores of 26-24, 23-25, and 11-15. The WolfPack then defeated Riveland CC in the Third-Place game by scores of 25-22, and 28-26, to earn third place overall.
MATC Falls in Consolation of DuPage Classic
Posted 8-26-08 - The MATC Women's Volleyball team won three matches and lost three matches on their way to a loss in the consolation match of the 13th Annual College of DuPage Volleyball Classic in Glen Ellyn, IL on August 22-23.
In Pool A, MATC lost their first match to Rock Valley in three games (25-16, 18-25, 15-11). In their second match they rebounded to beat the host, College of DuPage in two games (25-17, 25-20). In their final Pool A match they beat Illinois Valley (25-18, 25-19).
In the quarter finals, MATC faced Illinois Valley again disposing of them in two games (25-20, 25-11). In the Semifinals MATC played a tough match against Vincennes and won the first game 25-12 but let a close one slip away in the second game bya score of 24-26. In the third game, MATC fell in another tight contest 13-15. With the loss, MATC played in the consolation match against Rock Valley. Rock Valley once again beat the WolfPack 15-25 and 17-25.

MATC Women's Volleyball Signs Players to National Letter of Intents
Posted 4-18-08 - MATC Women’s Volleyball coach, Toby Parker, has signed the following players to National Junior College Athletic Association National Letter of Intents for the upcoming 2008 season:
Alison Waller, a libero from Abbotsford H.S., is a two-time Marawood All-Conference selection.
Elizabeth Wisdom, a middle blocker from Cuba City H.S., was a two-time SWAL all-conference selection, first team all-area, and all-state performer. Four year high jump state qualifier and state champion in her junior season.
Kayla Conner, a middle blocker from Waterloo East (IA) H.S., was selected as Mississippi Valley Conference MVP, along with All-State honors in 2007.
Trisha Fadroski, a 5’10” outside hitter from Fort Atkinson H.S. was named team MVP, along with being a Southern Lakes All-Conference selection in 2007.
Jessica Eichorst, an outside hitter from Dodgeville H.S., was selected to the Southwest WI All-Conference team in 2006.
Kristen Klein, a 5’6’’ setter from Cuba City H.S., was a SWAL All-Conference selection in 2007.
Rachel Schmidt, a middle blocker from Hortonville H.S., was a Valley 8 All-Conference selection in 2007.
