Andrew Jezuit Selected All-American
Posted 11-29-07 - Andrew Jezuit, a former Stoughton H.S. athlete, became the fifth soccer player in Madison Area Technical College (MATC) history and the fourth in the last five years to receive All-American honors.  Jezuit, a second year defensemen for MATC, was selected second team NJCAA Division III All-American for his play during the 2007 season. 

In addition to All-American honors, Jezuit received all-conference, all-state and all-region honors this season while helping the WolfPack to #8 national ranking and an impressive 15-1-1 overall record.  The team also won conference, state and region titles this season.

MATC Falls in NJCAA Region 13 Semi-Final
Posted 11-5-07 - The MATC WolfPack traveled to Joliet Illinois on Friday, November 2nd, to compete in the NJCAA District 13 Semi-Final Game versus Richland College.

The WolfPack was undefeated before heading into Friday's game with Richland College, but their winning streak couldn't last another day as Richland defeated MATC 2-0. 

With the loss, the WolfPack's record fell to 15-1-1, ending their fine season.

MATC Moves on to NJCAA District Tournament
Posted 10-29-07 - The #7 nationally ranked WolfPack defeated MATC-Milwaukee 3-1 to win the NJCAA Regional Championship on Saturday.  With the win MATC improves to 15-0-1 on the season.

Isaiah Ponce lead the WolfPack with two goals and an assist while Christian Anto added the third goal late in the second half of the victory.

The WolfPack will move on to the NJCAA District Tournament where they will play Richland College at Joliet, IL on Friday, November 2, at 2:00 PM.

WolfPack Soccer Wins State Championship
Posted 10-23-07 - The #8 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack won their second consecutive WJCAA State title Saturday with a 4-1 win over UW-Waukesha.  MATC scored two goals in each half and held the visiting Cougars to only one goal in the seocnd half.  The WolfPack remain undefeated on the season with an overall record of 14-0-1.

Four different WolfPack players scored in the win.  Isaiah Ponce had a goal and an assist, while teammate, Tim Hartwig had three saves and no goals allowed in his time as goalkeeper.

MATC will move on to the Wiscosnin NJCAA Regional Championship where they will play MATC-Milwaukee at home on Saturday, October 27, at 12:00 PM.

MATC Advances to WJCAA Championship
Posted 10-18-07 - MATC traveled to Menasha, WI, for the WJCAA State Semfinal game versus UW-Fox Valley. After being tied 2-2 at the end of the first half, MATC scored two unanswered goals in the second half to put the game away 4-2.

The WolfPack received goals from Baboucarr Njie, Serigne Sarr, Isaiah Ponce, and Christian Anto while goalie Tim Harwig made four saves on the game.

With the win, MATC advanced to the WJCAA State Championship. The WolfPack will host UW-Waukesha on Saturday, October 20, at 1:00 PM.

MATC Finishes Regular Season With Tie
Posted 10-15-07 - The #8 nationally ranked WolfPack ended their regular season with tie aganist Kishwaukee College 1-1.  Four periods weren't enough to break the tie as MATC goes to 12-0-1 on the season.

Peter Lively had a penalty kick in the first half which ended up to be the WolfPack's only goal of the game.  Tim Hartwig had eight saves while only allowing the one goal as the goalkeeper.

WolfPack Remain Undefeated With Win
Posted 10-12-07 - The #8 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack went into halftime tied at 0-0 against Loras College JV, MATC came out and scored three goals in the second half to win 3-0.  The win keeps the WolfPack undefeated with a 12-0 record.

Ivan Aranda led the way for the WolfPack with a goal and an assist, while Sergine Sarr and Rodolfo Osuna also scored in the victory.

WolfPack Defeat Conference Foe
Posted 10-8-07 - The #8 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack defeated MATC-Milwaukee 4-1 on Saturday.

The win improves the WolfPack's record to 11-0 for the season.

Baboucarr Njie, Isaiah Ponce and Ash Gadke each had a goal in the first half.  Rodolfo Osuna added the only goal in the second half for the WolfPack.  Tim Hartwig had five saves while allowing one goal as the goalkeeper.

MATC Beats Division I South Suburban College
Posted 10-4-07 - The WolfPack ran into one of its tougher tests this season when they took on Division I South Suburban College at MATC.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into halftime, and in the second half, it was all MATC.  The WolfPack outscored SSC 2-0 receiving goals from Myles Klapatch and Serigne Sarr.  Those two goals proved to be the difference in the game as MATC won 3-1.

With the win, MATC remains unbeaten with a record

of 10-0.  They are also ranked #8 in NJCAA Division III.   

WolfPack Remains Undefeated
Posted 10-1-07 - The #7 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack defeated Dakota County College 4-2 on Saturday in Rosemont, MN. The WolfPack remain undefeated at 9-0 overall.

It took a combined attack from the WolfPack as they had four different players score in the game. Isaiah Ponce started the scoring in the first half, and three more goals came in the second half from Baboucarr Njie, Peter Lively and Serigne Sarr.

MATC Wins Eighth Straight Game to go to 8-0
Posted 9-26-07 - The #7 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack won their eighth straight game by beating Loras College JV 3-2 in Dubuque, IA. 

The WolfPack jumped out to a early 2-0 lead to start the game and held on in the second half. Isaiah Ponce scored both goals in the first half on Baboucarr Njie assists. In the second half, Rodolfo Osuna also scored a goal on a Baboucarr Njie assist.

WolfPack Wins Big Against Waubonsee CC
Posted 9-24-07 - The #5 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack won their seventh straight game as they defeated Waubonsee Community College 8-0.  The WolfPack scored four goals in each half of the win.  With the win MATC remains undefeated at 7-0 overall.

MATC second year midfielder, Michael Riordan, recorded two goals while Isaiah Ponce added a goal and two assists in the victory.

MATC Wins Sixth Straight Against Concordia
Posted 9-22-07 - The #9 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack posted their sixth straight win to improve to 6-0 overall with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Concordia University JV.

Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, MATC's first year forward, Baboucarr Njie, scored the game winning goal at 106:27. The goal was Njie's second of the game and was unassisted. Andrew Jezuit was the WolfPack's other goal scorer, scoring on a feed from Ash Gadke in the second half.

MATC Beats Carthage College in Kenosha
Posted 9-17-07 - The #9 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack recorded their fifth straight win by coming from behind. Trailing 1-0 in the first half, MATC scored two unanswered goals, one in the first half and one in the second half, to win 2-1.

Christian Anto and Baboucarr Njie each scored a goal in the victory.

MATC Remains Undefeated with Home Win
Posted 9-15-07 - After going into halftime tied at 0-0 against MATC-Milwaukee, the WolfPack came out and scored three goals in the second half to win 3-0. The #9 nationally ranked MATC WolfPack improved to 4-0 overall.

MATC first year forward, Isaiah Ponce, scored on a free kick to give the WolfPack the lead. Ash Gadke and Peter Lively added the two other goals for MATC.

MATC Downs UW-Fond du Lac in Second Half
Posted 9-10-07 - After trailing by two goals to start the game MATC preceeded to score nine unanswered goals, including seven goals in the second half, to claim their third win of season.

MATC first year forward, Isaiah Ponce, recorded a hat trick of goals and one assist in the win while teammate Baboucarr Njie had two goals.

MATC Beats College of Lake County at Home
Posted 9-1-07 - The MATC Soccer recorded their second straight win in the young season with a 3-1 victory over College of Lake County at home. Rodolfo Osuna, Myles Klapatch and Peter Lively each had goals while Isaiah Ponce recorded his fourth assist in two games.

MATC Wins in Debut Versus D.1 McHenry CC
Posted 8-28-07 - MATC Soccer started the 2007 season with a big win versus NJCAA Division I McHenry Community College in Madison, WI.

In the second overtime, MATC's forward, Serigne Sarr scored his second goal of the game to give MATC a 3-2 victory. It was MATC's first win over McHenry since the 2003 season. Second year midfielder, Ash Gadke chipped in with a goal and first year forward, Isaiah Ponce recorded three assists.

Gadke earns Academic All-American Honors
Posted 6-28-06 - MATC Soccer player and former Lodge Park H.S. (Corby, England) athlete, Ashley Gadke, earned 2006-07 NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American honors. In order to receive this honor student-athletes must have completed at least three semesters of college with at least 45 credits accumulated with a GPA of 3.80 or higher.
