Gadke earns Academic All-American Honors
Posted 6-28-06 - MATC Soccer player and former Lodge Park H.S. (Corby, England) athlete, Ashley Gadke, earned 2006-07 NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American honors. In order to receive this honor student-athletes must have completed at least three semesters of college with at least 45 credits accumulated with a GPA of 3.80 or higher.

MATC Falls to Talented Richland College
Posted 11-4-06 -The MATC Soccer team fell one game short of advancing to the national tournament for the first time in school history as host Richland College beat the WolfPack 6-0. Three-time national champion, Richland College advanced to the national tournament with the win.

MATC finished the season as conference and state champions with an overall record of 12-4-3.

MATC Soccer Advances to District Final
Posted 11-3-06 -The MATC Soccer team beat Joliet Junior College 3-0 in the NJCAA District Semifinal in Dallas, TX.

MATC's Michael Riordan scored a penalty kick goal thirty-four minutes into the game and the WolfPack never looked back. MATC midfielder, Andy Pechmann, added two goals in the second half to put the game away. With the win, MATC advances to the NJCAA District Championship.

MATC Moves on to District Semifinal
Posted 10-30-06 -The MATC Soccer team defeated MATC-Milwaukee in the Wisconsin NJCAA Regional Final 2-1 at home to advance to the NJCAA District Semifinal. 

Against MATC-Milwaukee, the WolfPack were down 1-0 in the second half when Nathan Lasche fed Christian Anto to tie the score at one goal each.  Peter Lively took a pass from fellow Defenseman Kyle McCartney to score the game winning goal.

The MATC Soccer team will face off against Joliet Junior College in Dallas, TX on Friday, November 3rd in the NJCAA District Semifinal.  The winner will advance to take on host Richland College on Saturday, November 4th.

MATC Takes Home WJCAA Championship
Posted 10-19-06 -The MATC Soccer team capped an undefeated conference season by defeating host UW-Fond du Lac in the WJCAA championship game 3-2.

Defenseman Kyle McCartney scored an unassisted goal, his first of the season, to break a 2-2 tie in the second half.  Christian Anto and Brian Walsh also netted goals for MATC, which improved to 10-3-3 overall heading into the NJCAA tournament.

The MATC Soccer team helped complete a trifecta for the WolfPack, as all three MATC Fall Sports teams won WJCAA championships.

MATC Advances to WJCAA State Final
Posted 10-19-06 -The MATC Soccer team extended their unbeaten streak against state junior college oppoents to 7-0 as they beat the visiting UW-Baraboo Fightin Spirits 4-0.

The win advances MATC to the WJCAA Final on Saturday, October 21st in Fond du Lac, WI versus UW-Fond du Lac at 3:00 PM.

MATC Game vs. UW-La Crosse Cancelled
Posted 10-14-06 -The home MATC soccer game on Sunday, October 15th versus UW-La Crosse Club Team has been cancelled.

MATC Ties Loras College JV
Posted 10-13-06 - MATC traveled to Dubuque, IA and played to a 1-1 tie with the Loras College JV team.  Both teams scored in the first half, with Christian Anto feeding Nathan Lasche for the WolfPack's lone goal.  Jared Keuhl, protecting the net for MATC, made eight saves to limit Loras to one goal.

WolfPack Play to Tie With Kishwaukee
Posted 10-9-06 - MATC played to a 0-0 tie with Kishwaukee in Malta, IL on Sunday, October 8. MATC Goalies Jared Kuehl and Kyle Betzner combined to make five saves to perserve the tie.

MATC Rallies Back to Beat Stormers
Posted 10-8-06 - MATC-Madison rallied from two goals down, tallying three unanswered goals, to beat conference foe, Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers. WolfPack midfielder, Christian Anto, had a pair of goals in the 5-4 win. Ash Gadke, Michael Riordan, and Nathan Lasche all had goals.

With the win, the WolfPack improved to 8-3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

MATC Gets Big Win in South Suburban
Posted 10-4-06 - MATC traveled to South Holland, IL to collect a 3-1 win over the South Suburban College Bulldogs. Peter Lively, Thomas Fritz, and Michael Riordan each had goals for the WolfPack. Jared Kuehl and Kyle Betzner combined to make five saves. With the win, MATC improves to 7-3-1.

MATC Falls Behind Early, Loses
Posted 10-2-06 - MATC fell behind 0-2 early to a Macalester College JV team in St. Paul, MN, and could never come back. Peter Lively scored the only WolfPack goal as MATC lost their first game of the last eight.

MATC Continues to Roll with Win
Posted 10-2-06 - MATC extended their unbeated streak to seven games with a 6-1 win over North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, IA on Saturday, September 30. Andrew Jezuit, a former Stoughton athlete, had his second three-goal game of the year.

MATC Blanks UW-Washington County
Posted 9-29-06 - MATC recorded their third shutout of the season as they rolled to a 5-0 win against UW-Washington County at home.

Christian Anto and Hector Alcantar each had a pair of goals and Clayton Ramirez added one. Goalie, Kyle Betzner tallied six saves in the shutout. With the win, MATC improves their record to 5-0 against state junior college opponents.

MATC Ties Division I Dakota County
Posted 9-24-06 - MATC played tough against NJCAA Division I Dakota County Technical College as they tied the game with less than two minutes left on a steller goal off the foot of former McFarland H.S. athlete, Justin Lessner. Michael Riordan and Hector Alcantar also scored goals for the WolfPack.

MATC Cruises to 11-1 Win
Posted 9-22-06 - MATC crusied to a 11-1 win over state opponent, UW-Marathon in Wausau, WI. Three players, Nathan Lasche, Justin Lessner, and Clayton Ramirez all tallied two goals in the win while Brian Walsh added a season-high five assists. The win improved the WolfPack's overall record to 4-2.

MATC Assistant Coach Wins $1000
Posted 9-19-06 - MATC assistant coach and former WolfPack student-athlete, Grant Fischer won the Culver's Punt, Pass & Kick competition during halftime of the Badger football game on Saturday, September 16th. He is still undecided in how he plans on spending the money.

MATC Wins Third Straight Game
Posted 9-19-06 - MATC won their third straight game with a 2-0 win over UW-Fond du Lac at MATC. Andrew Jezuit, a former Stoughton H.S. athlete, scored two goals in the win while Kyle Betzner made four saves.

WolfPack Claim Conference Victory
Posted 9-18-06 - MATC claimed their first conference victory of the season with a 2-1 win over conference foe, Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, WI.

MATC Cruises to 20-0 Lopsided Victory
Posted 9-13-06 - MATC scored a school record twenty goals in a 20-0 lopsided win over UW-Fox Valley at home. Goalies Jared Kuehl and Kyle Betzner did not face a shot on goal while forwards Andrew Jezuit, Ryan Kundert and Clayton Ramirez each tallied three goals. MATC had twenty-seven shots on goal.

MATC Loses Second Game 0-1
Posted 9-8-06 - MATC lost their second game of the season by the score of 0-1 to Concordia University JV in Mequon, WI. Jared Kuehl and Kyle Betzner combined for five saves.

MATC Loses Season Opener to McHenry
Posted 8-30-06 - The 2006 edition of the MATC Soccer team lost the season opener to McHenry County College 0-1 in Crystal Lake, IL. Goalie Jared Kuehl had four saves in the loss.
