Help us help a disabled author who is a former student!
The Clarion and the Madison College Student Ambassadors are raising funds to help purchase a page-turner for a former student who is a disabled author.
During a presentation on Nov. 12, Steve Salmon, a published author with severe Cerebral Palsy, shared his story of overcoming challenges to write about the physically disabled and serve as a voice for others like him.
The presentation is now available to view online. An article about Steve is also in the current issue of The Clarion.
The students on The Clarion and Student Ambassadors were so moved by Steve's story, they decided to help him achieve one of his wishes by raising funds to purchase a page-turner.
Donations are being collected at the Truax Student Life Office, Room 140, through November 29. Checks can be made out to the Madison College Foundation and will be tax deductible.
