Student Greeters Needed

In the past, Student Life has scheduled “greeters” at the entrances of the Truax, DTEC, and West campuses the first two days of each semester. Many of you have volunteered your time to do this in an effort to give directions, assist with questions, and simply welcome students. 

Although it may seem like a small and time consuming effort, during the fall semester more than 2,600 students took advantage of the staff in the hallways to answer questions. This includes 2,090 students at the Truax campus and 572 at DTEC, (records were not submitted from the West campus). The need is there and our hope is that this small effort will minimize frustration by our new students and returning students who may be attending different campuses or having difficulties.

Student Life's goal for this activity is to assist in the transition to Madison College by helping student’s identify services and resources and to begin to develop a relationship with the college where they feel personally significant and find personal meaning in their college experience.

Please check your calendar and if you are available, click here and indicate the campus, dates, and times that work for you. Please respond before Wednesday, January 11, and a confirmed schedule will be developed and sent to you by Friday, January 13.
