STEPS Communication and Training Team Ready to Go!

As the Student Transformation through Effective Practice and Systems (STEPS) Program moves forward, the Communication and Training team is tasked with communicating to and preparing Madison College for the PeopleSoft 9.0 upgrade. The Communication and Training Team aims to inform and instruct students, faculty and staff on upgrade enhancements and the accompanying changes with the goal of a smooth and successful transition in July.

Communication and training are an essential part of transformation, and changes are carefully presented through timely and targeted messaging. The team centers their efforts by working closely with all STEPS program and project teams to identify the areas requiring attention, and then developing and providing comprehensive communications and training resources to assist with the implementation and execution of the upgraded processes.

Training will focus on specific areas designated by the STEPS Program teams, and will cover all pertinent information on changes to the student administration system and any related processes.

Each of these areas can look forward to improvements that will enhance their ability to provide services for students:

Communications and Training Team-Academics and Advising
    -Campus Community (college-wide process improvements)
    -Enrollment and Records Management
    -Financial Aid and Student Financials
    -Intake, Orientation and Admissions
    -Student and Faculty Self Service

A key component of the college-wide STEPS Program initiative, the Communication and Training Team works to ensure the college community is informed of and prepared for improvements and enhancements. Faculty and staff will receive more information on training, including dates and times, in the coming weeks.

Communications and Training Team members include Roxanne Zetzman, team lead; Dani Dahlke, team member; and Sandy Brendemuehl, training consultant.
