Red Cross Blood Drive at Truax

Blood Drive SloganPart of the mystery of life is that we never know what’s around the next corner. Some of life’s surprises are wonderful, and some are sad or scary. One of the most worrisome times in life is when a friend or relative is hospitalized. American Red Cross blood donors help east these worries by helping ensure that enough blood is available for hospital patients across the country.

Most of us know someone who has received blood. In fact, 97 percent of the U.S. population will receive a blood transfusion in their lifetime!

Spring is a time to reflect on new life and new beginnings. Celebrate this spring by giving someone another chance. Give blood, and give the gift of life!

A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Madison College Truax building in the Student Lounge. You may pre-register at the Student Life Office, room 140. Walk-ins are welcome the day of the drive as well, but making an appointment ahead of time is preferred. You can also email ahoffmann[at] matcmadison [dot] edu (Anna Marie Hoffmann) at or call her at (608) 245-2116.

On behalf of many local patients and families, thank you for your time, compassion, and gift of life!
