The Faculty Guidebook explains that instructional design consists of analyzing what the learner is to learn, designing and developing learning events to activate learning, implementing the design, and assessing the process that leads to constant improvement of the instructional design. At Madison College, the Outline of Instruction is an important component of the instructional design process.
