Political Forum With Senator Miller and Representative Parisi

This Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Lounge, students and faculty will have the opportunity to ask questions at the first-ever student centered political forum at Madison College!

Senator Mark Miller and Representative Joe Parisi have agreed to answer non-partisan issue based questions regarding student issues, such as tuition rates, future job markets, and the economy. In addition to the planned questions, students will have the chance to submit their own questions.

We hope that this political discourse will connect students with the political process and get them excited about voting in the upcoming election.

In order to make sure that students are able to attend and participate in the forum, we need your help! It would be great if you could encourage your students to attend the forum. There are three easy ways you could help.

    - Offer extra credit to students who attend the forum.
    - Mention why the forum is an important opportunity in your class and encourage students to brainstorm some questions they would like to ask.
    - Send out an email to your listserve inviting/ encouraging your students to attend.
    - Allow a WISPIRG student representative to speak in your classes to remind students to vote

Thank you very much for your help! We hope to see you and your students at the forum.
