Faculty and staff please share with your students about these two upcoming personal statement workshops!

These workshops are aimed at two groups of students — those who are writing an application essay for admittance into a four-year school, and those who are writing a personal statement to apply for a scholarship. Personal statements can be incredibly intimidating for even the most experienced and confident writer and many students decide not to apply for scholarships simply because personal essays are required. Let students know they don’t have to do it alone. In partnership with the Madison College Foundation, the Writing Center is holding two workshops to help students write an application essay that is genuine, engaging, and polished.
