PEOPLE Program

The PEOPLE Program is a year-round academic enrichment program at UW-Madison for Wisconsin minority and/or disadvantaged high school students with the goal of:
- Increasing the number of students that graduate from Wisconsin high schools and;
- Increasing their enrollment into colleges and universities.
Madison College has participated for several years now in this internship program and the students appreciate the opportunity to learn about our mission, service, and the many roles we have in the economic well-being of our district.
If you're interested in having a student work in your area(s), please email me a short job description and identify a supervisor for the student by Friday, April 2. The PEOPLE program then matches these job descriptions with students' educational and career interests and "places" the student with their respective match. The PEOPLE program covers all costs associated with the internship including transportation and stipend.
Thank you!
