Paralegal Student Wins PAW Scholarship

SCALES OF JUSTICE!On May 6, Madison College Paralegal Program student Ragini Gupta was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin (PAW). Students from Paralegal colleges throughout Wisconsin compete annually for this scholarship. The award was presented to Gupta at a luncheon at the Monona Terrace in Madison. Gupta was accompanied at the ceremony by Paralegal faculty member Norma Kropp.

This is Gupta’s second award this spring. Last month, she was awarded a scholarship by the national Paralegal Honor Society, Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), based on an essay competition.

Madison College Paralegal Program students have been recipients of the PAW scholarship two years in a row. Last year’s winner was Amy Newell, who graduated from the Paralegal Program in May, 2010, and is working as a paralegal at the Dane County office of The Law Center for Children and Families.

Please join us in congratulating Ragini Gupta for another exceptional achievement!
