New Woodwork Skills Standards Program

    On Saturday, April 30, Madison College played host to 20 Woodwork industry professionals and educators from across North America to train the first evaluators for the Woodwork Career Alliance.

    WCA LogoCabinetmaking Program Director and WCA Board member Patrick Molzahn coordinated the training. Attendees, including Cabinetmaking Lead Instructor Jeff Molzahn, are now qualified to deliver WCA Skill Standard evaluations.

    Currently 5 students in the Cabinetmaking program are among the first woodworkers in North America to receive this credential. Participants came from as far as El Paso, TX and Calgary, Canada for the training.
