New Staff in Office of Associate Vice President for Learner Success

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Monge as the administrative planner for the Office of the Associate Vice President-Learner Success. Jessica has been employed with the college for a little over 2 years. She came from the Center for Arts and Sciences. Prior to coming to Truax, Jessica worked as the interim manage of the Salon at the Downtown campus. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Education in Professional Development at UW-Whitewater. Jessica says, “I love working with such a great group of professionals that are always willing help make this college a great place to be!” She reports to Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer, Associate VP for Learner Success Operations and is located in 245C, Truax.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alphonso Cooper as program manager of the Business Procurement Assistance Center within the Center for Community and Corporate Learning. Al has over 34 years of management experience working for the State of Wisconsin and the County of Dane. He also has 17 years of government contracting experience, including five years as the assistant purchasing manager for Dane County Administration. He has trained approximately 6000 administrators, supervisors and staff in affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices and requirements. Alphonso has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He also studied at the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). Over the last 8 years, he has served on the City of Fitchburg Plan Commission , the Transportation and Transit Commission and the Economic Development Commission. He has also served as President of the Wisconsin Association of Public Purchasers, the state affiliated chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). Al’s office is located at the West Campus, second floor. Al reports to Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer as well.
