New Cisco Phones Installed

Many of you have probably noticed the new Cisco phones that have recently arrived in public areas. This includes the hallways, stairwells, etc. across campuses – anywhere there was an Avaya phone in the past. Because of their public locations, these phones can obviously be used by anyone in the building, both employees and visitors.
This notification is simply to make you aware that the calling rights on those phones are generally the same as they were with Avaya. All phones have the ability to call
9-911 in an emergency and internal (4-digit dialing) numbers.
A few select phones have the ability to also make local calls and are considered ‘courtesy phones,’ they are placed in locations that can be viewed by College staff, including the following:
-Truax: two phones across from the Wolfpack Den & one phone across from the Welcome Center.
-Admin building: one phone in the lobby.
-DTEC: one phone across from the Enrollment Center window.
-Commercial Ave: one phone on the 2nd floor, across from Testing.
South campus: one hallway phone.
-Watertown, Portage, Reedsburg, & Fort Atkinson: one hallway phone each.
Please direct those needing to make a local call to these phones and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
