Matthew Guenette is Back From Germany

    Matthew Guenette is back from a fellowship in Weisbaden, Germany, where he was Writer-in-Residence for the Hessen-Wisconsin Literary Exchange. 

    Matthew GuenetteHighlights include:
    *reading in Frankfurt for both the Museumsuferfest and the Stadtmuseum's groundbreaking renovation ceremony
    *workshopping with high school students at the Schuldorf Bergstraße in Seeheim-Jugenheim and the Albert Einstein Schule in Maintal, and meeting with a prisoner's writing group in Darmstadt. 

    Since his return, Matthew learned his second manuscript, "American Bubsoy", was a finalist at Steel Toe Press, and is being considered by two other presses for publication. He has poems forthcoming in Barn Owl Review and Umbrella. 

    Matthew will also be giving a reading and lecture this month in Akron, Ohio, on behalf of the Northeast Ohio MFA program, and will be reading on Sunday, November 22, at Avol's books with Frankfurt poet Dirk Huelstrunk.
