First, we would like to thank faculty, both Full- and Part-Time, for the wonderful job working with students with disabilities. We serve approximately 900 students with disabilities at Madison College, and a large number of these students persist into future semesters and earn degrees. Your instruction and assistance helping students get their legally-mandated accommodations are critical to this success.
Note-taking accommodations are one of the most widely used at Madison College. Over 550 classes have student note-takers. This is a huge endeavor and one that is particularly critical for success both in and out of class. We rely on faculty at Madison College to assist with recruiting note-takers.
We are excited about a new change for requesting and providing note-takers. We have moved to a paperless request process. From there, our website has additional information and key steps you will need to follow.
Thank you,
Disability Resource Services
