Hybrid Electric Vehicle Instructor Training Event Hosted at Madison College

Madison College's Automotive Technology Department hosted an instructor training event the week of June 20. This was an advanced course on Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) designed to prepare Automotive Instructors to begin teaching their students about HEV technology. Seven of our Automotive Instructors attended the class along with 23 other Instructors, trainers and even a few engineers from Wisconsin, Illinois, etc. The class was taught by an instructor from Automotive Research and Design.
Madison College and Automotive Research and Design signed a five-year agreement last fall allowing the use of our facility, vehicles, etc. in an attempt to help other schools that haven't been able to access this training up to this point. The arrangement has been very mutually beneficial to our Automotive Department and Automotive Research and Design.
We are hoping to expand the offerings next year to two weeks based on the success of this year's event. Partnerships like this one have helped put our Automotive Technology training at the forefront of advanced technology training.
